Health Update

This year has been pretty rough on me. In addition to my eyes, I have also had problems with my blood glucose control and medication changes due to it and acid reflux issues. Yesterday, I had an endoscopy to check my throat and stomach for damage caused by GERD/GORD and it has left me feeling exremely tired. Fatigue is something that I have had a lot of issues with lately and I've not felt like reveiwing books, or keeping this blog updated, but I have been reading quite a lot. May was a very slow month because I ended up in hospital, and I've not felt great since then. I might do a better blog post about what has been going on later when I am feeling less wiped out. I am in front of my reading goal of 52 books this year and unless something happens, I am going to exced it. I don't think that I will read 100 books, but there is a good chance that I will make it to 70, which isn't bad.

I've been reading Dungeon Crawler Carl and one best things about the series is that they are addictive and you keep reading them. Princess Donut and Mongo the 'raptor are great. They aren't great' books by any means, but they are entertaining and have a tendency to make you want to know what is going to happen next. I'll have to borrow the last two from the library though because my kindleunlimited offer will be expiring at the end of this week and I don't think that I'll finish the series in time for that.

I have been listening to the Pern series, read Joanne Harris' The Gosphel of Loki and attempted to read Shield Maiden by Sharon Emmerichs but wasn't able to finish it due to being unwell and it needed to go back to the library. There is some other bookish news, but I don't have the energy right now. Type 2 diabetes suck.
